I started repairing and removing possums from homes and businesses way back in 2003, the olden days. I worked for a great company for many years dealing with possum removals, bird removals, rodent baiting and animal rescues.

​

In 2008 I decided to take the plunge and start my own business, initially servicing all of Melbourne but being stuck on the Monash Freeway consistently wears you down after a while. So, in 2013 I decided to exclusively service The Mornington Peninsula it was a bit of a risk because I hadn't really had a lot of work there in the past. Well, it was worth it. To be able to drive and work around such a beautiful area is amazing.

I decided to take a short break from possum removal and explore other work opportunities for a few years but a drive down to Rye reignited my passion for helping people with their possum issues. Now I have also decided to service the Bass Coast. I had taken on some work in Phillip Island every now and then through the years. It is now a permanent fixture for the same reasons as working on the Mornington Peninsula, beautiful scenery and fantastic people to deal with. Also, there isn't really peak hour traffic in these areas especially during winter. Which is great because my main mode of transport is a late 1950's vintage truck called Grug.

I do still service some parts of Melbourne mainly the Bayside suburbs, City Of Kingston and City Of Glen Eira.

So, when you're dealing with The Possum Professional you deal with me, Shaun, a sole trader. You won't be dealing with a call centre, then accounts team, then a technician. It's a one man show, I'll be answering the phone, responding to emails, Removing the possums, repairing your home or business, undertaking the accounting.
